Specialised Footwear and Orthotics

At Plympton Podiatry Centre, specialised footwear can also be purchased to support your feet. Specialised footwear and orthotics ,if required ,can provide tremendous benefits for patients with foot and lower leg problems.

We use a selection of local laboratories for our custom orthotic manufacture. We prescribe 3D printed orthotics, semi rigid and flexible EVA /accommodative orthotics and also rigid orthotics, all made locally. Using local labs we have the ability to be more involved and collaborative in the manufacture of the orthotics ,if required, which improve outcomes for our patients.

Footwear and orthotics that are designed specifically for these conditions can help alleviate pain and provide better support, which can improve mobility and quality of life.

We have several brands of footwear available including Scholl, Revere, Vionic and Archie Thongs.

We currently have a new range of Scholl slippers with in- built arch support for extra comfort and support.
